Samuel's First Birthday: Smash Cake

I realize I'm all out of order now with my posts, but I'm just getting caught up on the drafts that have been piling up! 

Right before Samuel turned 1, we did the whole cake smash thing. I made him a cake and we set him next to it and let him have at it until we feared he'd go into a sugar coma and made him stop! (The cake was more of a banana bread and the frosting was made from whipped cream mostly rather than heavy sugar and fat, so that's not as bad, right?!?!)

Samuel 18 Month Pictures

Samuel turned 18 months on the 22nd of February, which fell right after President's Day - a day that I had off of work. It also happened to be 60 degrees that day, so we went to the OPPD Arboretum so Samuel could explore and I could take some pictures of him. Here they are! There's a lot, so get ready!

 

The Arboretum is right by a busy rode, so Samuel had to stand there and point at every car that went by!

 

 He even had a wardrobe change! :)
