Christmas Day

We woke up on Christmas morning at Trent's parents' house and had a scrumptious French Toast breakfast with his parents and Grandma. That has become a great tradition for when we wake up at their house on Christmas morning.

Soon after breakfast, we were on our way to go to my mom's. As soon as we arrived there, we were off to the first of our stops for the day. We were having breakfast for lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Jons. My mom had made a breakfast casserole in the crock pot, some crispy bacon (heehee), toast, and other good stuff! After we ate, Grandma and Grandpa opened a few presents and then we put some puzzles together.

Trent and I used to do puzzles quite often, but we really hadn't done any for a while. At least not since we moved into our house (I guess the house provided a few too many other fun things to do...). We had a set of 10 different puzzles of different sizes. Trent and Grandpa worked on one and then Grandma and my mom and I did the other one. The guys got a big head start, so they finished first. But only by a little bit!

Matchy matchy!
After our puzzle fun was done, we took off to go to the other Grandma's for supper and some games. We had yummy lasagna and some hot dogs!!! Yes! It may have been the best Christmas meal ever :) Grandma may not have thought so, but I am pretty sure everyone enjoyed and appreciated the meal... we must all be related :)

Throughout the night, there were naps to take, some more snacking and a game of dominoes and a few other games including "Jocelyn's Game" (a game like charades and Taboo in one that doesn't have an official name yet...) that we all played together for the first time.

Although it wasn't our usual Christmas day activities this year, I was just super happy that those of us that could be there all got to be together! We had another Christmas party about a week and a half later when everyone could be there, so I guess you could call this our "pre-party" and we definitely made the best of it!
