This Weekend

I just got back from the last of my weekend festivities. I had a great weekend, but it is nice to be home in our warm apartment for the night. It did snow quite a bit this weekend, but luckily it didn't ruin the plans we had all made.

On Saturday, I met some of my best friends at the mall and we ate lunch followed by some shopping. It was a great time, but I was ready to be done walking around at the end of it all. Shopping really is pretty tiring! I just wish I had felt like I accomplished more when we were done for the day. All four of us stayed at Lauren's for the night and we entertained ourselves by ordering pizza and watching the first two Paranormal Activity movies. I had been wanting to see the first one for quite a while, but I didn't want to watch it by myself. So I finally found some people who would watch them with me! I don't know if it was a mistake yet, though because I am really good at freaking myself out, and those movies put a lot of creepy thoughts in my head. So hopefully I'm not scarred for life by those! (I say that as I sit alone in our apartment right now with a weird noise coming from the heat duct deal every once in a while...) After watching those two movies, we had to end the night with a happy movie, so we got another one in before going to sleep.

My one picture that I took while with my friends.
Mallory's sweet outfit that she put together.
Very festive.
When we got up in this morning, Lauren made us pancakes and we watched a few episodes of Say Yes to the Dress, which was very great! Then, I went on home and finished cleaning up some of the mess that was left from us moving back into our apartment on Friday and then got ready for my mom and sister to come to town. They got here about mid afternoon and we went out to the Lauritzen Gardens (Omaha Botanical Gardens) for a while. Every Sunday in December is free there, so there were tons of people there. My mom and I have been there about 3 or 4 times now in the past year and we both decided that we like it a lot more when there aren't many people there at all. But it was still great to get to see the way they had it all set up and to see the big poinsettia tree.

After we left there, we went and did a little shopping and grabbed a bite to eat and then they headed back to their homes. I'm so happy that they came to town. It's always great to see my family!

Now I'm at home, listening to my Christmas station Pandora and catching up on the blogs that I haven't read for the past 2 days and surfing the web a little. I came across this as I was searching, I almost think that I have to have it.

From PersonalCreations.com
I think that's so funny, and it would go well to say "Kendra's Kickasserole"! I guess I just don't know how much I'd get to use it because I'd think it might be a little inappropriate for some family situations... but it'd be nice to bring it out and use it when everyone needs a good laugh.

I hope you all had a great weekend!
